As part of Quantum Words Perth, we’ve been grateful to partner with the Science Teachers Association of WA to offer a science writing competition for primary and secondary students.

Earlier this year, in recognitiion of the anniversary of the Moon landing, students across WA were invited to respond creatively to one of these five topics: A Night Sky Story; ‘Stars’ in Space – The Heroes of Space Exploration; Too far to walk – new frontiers in space; My life on …;  Fireballs in the Sky.

The competition closed last month and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the entries we received and by the creativity – and science smarts – of the students.  The competition winners will be announced in an event to take place during QWP in November.
