Meet our directors

Jane McCredie, CEO, Writing NSW
Jane McCredie is the Founder and Director of Quantum Words and the Director of Quantum Words Perth.  She is an award-winning journalist and writer about science and is the author of Making Girls and Boys: Inside the science of sex and past editor of The Best Australian Science Writing. A former publisher of scholarly and popular science books, she reviews science books and writes a regular opinion column for the Medical Journal of Australia.

Sharon Flindell, CEO, Writing WA
has worked across cultural industries – both in Australia and internationally – for more than thirty years, working with many exceptional artists including Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Michael Nyman and Robert Lepage. As a London-based independent producer she was responsible for creating Hungary’s first international contemporary arts festival of the post-communist era; producing an international co-production with Spoleto Festival Charleston, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival USA and Glasgow City of Culture; and a sell-out West End run of the Schiller Theater (Berlin) production of Macbeth.  She has been the CEO of Writing WA since 2005 and in 2014 she programmed and produced the inaugural Disrupted Festival of Ideas, co-founded by Writing WA and the State Library of Western Australia.
